Name Released of Severn Woman Found Shot to Death

Police say Karlyn Ramirez was found dead in her home; a 5-month-old baby was found unharmed beside her body.

The woman found shot to death in her Severn home has been identified as Karlyn Serane Ramirez, 24, say police, who ask residents to contact them with any information about the homicide.

Anne Arundel County Police were called to the 8000 block of Millstone Court in Severn Tuesday morning after a neighbor noticed an open door at Ramirez’s residence. He received no response when he called to her, which he thought suspicious, and called police.

Officers found Ramirez’s body inside the house; a 5-month-old baby who appeared to be in good health was found next to the victim.
