New Goodwill Store Coming To Odenton in May

ODENTON, MD — A Patch reader tipped us off to a notice posted on a vacant commercial space in Odenton Shopping Center that suggested a Goodwill was coming to the area. Patch checked in with Goodwill, and a spokesperson confirmed there will be a new store next to Rinconcito Mexicano.

Goodwill is planning to take possession of the building in mid-March, and aiming for an early May opening, Jonathan Balog with Goodwill told Patch.

He said the store will start accepting donations at the location when they take possession. Donations sold in Goodwill stores fund the organization's job training and placement programs for those with barriers to employment.

The sales floor space will be about 12,000 feet and about 18 people will work at the location, Balog said.

This will be Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake's 28th retail store in the Central Maryland and Eastern Shore area.
