New Orleans Kitchen Open For Business
The new restaurant offers po' boy sandwiches and gumbo, along with other favorites from the Big Easy.
The opened quietly this week, bringing some authentic favorites from the Big Easy to Severn.
The restaurant near the corner of Telegraph and Reece roads features a menu with several different kinds of po’ boys, gumbo, red beans and rice and muffulettas. There are also daily specials including fried chicken and jambalaya, plus desserts.
I stopped by Wednesday afternoon and ordered a fried chicken po’ boy and some bread pudding. With jazz music in the background, I dug into the sandwich while sitting at the restaurant's window counter. It’s not my place to write a full review of the food, except that … well, I ate everything. And I’ll be back.

said she and her partners are still completing work on the interior of the restaurant and perfecting the customer service. But even with minimal advertising, the restaurant has been busy as area residents have been eagerly awaiting for it to open over the last month.
