ODENTON, MD — The Odenton Volunteer Fire Company carnival is back.

This is the town's first carnival since 2019. The fire station canceled the event in 2020 and 2021 during the thick of the coronavirus pandemic.

The carnival started Tuesday, May 24. It will run through Memorial Day, which is on Monday, May 30.

"All you can ride bracelets will be available every night," fire department spokesperson Patti Kidwell wrote on Patch. "Come and enjoy great food, fantastic funnel cakes, games, and seeing old friends."

The festivities usually include a Memorial Day parade. This year, the fire station will have a short ceremony instead. Members will present the colors and host a reading at 5 p.m. on the holiday.
