Odenton Child Sex Abuser To Be Sentenced May 8

An Odenton man who pleaded guilty to molesting a 5-year-old girl will be sentenced in court on May 8.

ODENTON, MD — An Odenton man who pleaded guilty to molesting a 5-year-old girl will be sentenced in court on May 8, said Anne Arundel County State's Attorney Wes Adams in a news release. Panagiostis Karambilas, 66, of Odenton, will be sentenced on Monday for a guilty plea of sex abuse of a minor.

On Sept. 5, 2016, police were called to an Odenton playground for a report of sexual abuse. The officer who responded to the report saw Karambilas placing his hand inside the underwear of a 5-year-old girl and rubbing her genitals, prosecutors say.

A witness provided video of Karambilas engaging in sexual acts with the child before the officer arrived, authorities say.
