The Odenton Heritage Society will celebrate Odenton Day on Saturday, October 4 with special activities at the OHS Historical Center, located at 1367 Odenton Road.
The Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with free admission and parking. A shuttle bus from the main Odenton Day event in the fire station will take visitors to the Historical Center every 20 minutes from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a narrated tour of the Odenton Historic District along the way.
OHS museum displays in the Historical Center show the town’s history since the 1860s, local baseball teams in the 1940s, and major league baseball player Gordon “Babe” Phelps, an Odenton native. A quilt raffle, railroad spike fundraiser, local history book and merchandise sale, walking tour of the Historic District at 1:00 p.m., and dedication of a new handicap ramp at 10:15 a.m. will round out the activities.
