Patient First Opens Wednesday

The new urgent and primary care facility will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

If you have a cut, bruise or just feel under the weather, there's a new place for you to go for care.

Patient First in Odenton opens its doors Wednesday, offering an array of medical services including treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, X-rays, and the filling of prescriptions.

The Odenton location—on Annapolis Road across from the Odenton Shopping Center—is the 40th for Patient First.

"It's a modern medical approach," said Patient First CEO Pete Sowers, during an open house celebration Tuesday. "It's fast, it's efficient, there are no appointments and you get a broad range of services."

Sowers also noted that Patient First offers primary care. Patients may sign on as a patient with a specific doctor, but can get care from any other doctor at the facility if that doctor is not available.

The CEO said Patient First will benefit from the presence of other medical facilities in the area, including a new center from Johns Hopkins and Anne Arundel Medical under construction next door, and another Johns Hopkins complex immediately to the west.
