Pedestrian Shot on Severn Street: Police

SEVERN, MD — A pedestrian was attacked by a group of men Monday night and shot in the arm, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The attack happened about 11 p.m. in the 8300 block of Deer Run Court. The adult male victim told police he was attacked by five males while he was walking in the area. One suspect took out a handgun during the assault and shot the victim in the arm as the suspects fled the scene.

Numerous officers, aviation and K-9 units searched the area but did not find a definitive crime scene or the suspects. The victim was taken to an area hospital and treated for the non-life threatening wound.

The suspects were described as one to five males, no further details were available.
