Pizza Delivery Driver Wrestles with Robber: Police
A Crofton man has been charged robbery and assault after the scuffle.

A Crofton pizza delivery driver wrestled with a robbery suspect who swiped cash and a bottle of soda, say police.
The robbery was reported about 6:41 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of Sharwood Place in Crofton. The 20-year-old Mr. Pizza delivery driver told Anne Arundel County Police he was making a scheduled delivery in the Bancroft Community.
As the driver got out of his vehicle he placed a bottle of soda on the roof. When he reached into the vehicle to get the rest of the order, the driver felt a bump from behind. The victim told police a white man, 20 years old, was holding the soda bottle over his head as if to strike him with it.

The suspect reached into the driver’s jacket pocket and pulled out a bag containing an undetermined amount of cash. A brief struggle ensued over the bag before the driver was able to get into his vehicle and leave the scene. The suspect made off with the bag, including the cash and the bottle of soda.
A suspect was located and identified by the delivery driver. Aaron Michael Navarro, 20, of 1743 Kingsgate Drive in Crofton, was arrested and charged with robbery, assault, and theft.
