POCA Board Fills Two Vacant Spots

Michelle LeBlanc and A.J. Bachmann are the newest members of the Piney Orchard Community Association Board of Directors.

The Piney Orchard Community Association’s board of directors voted in two new members on Monday night, filling spots that had been vacant since May.

The board voted 6-0 with one abstention to approve the appointment of Michelle LeBlanc and 6-0 with two abstentions for AJ Bachmann.

LeBlanc had previously served on the board, but resigned last year before being appointed as the non-voting treasurer in May. She has lived in Piney Orchard for nearly 20 years.

Bachmann, 28, is a resident of the Timberleigh subdivision. An engineer who holds a master's of business administration in finance, he said he hopes the board will continue working to keep fees lower for residents.

The vote was met with opposition by Ronald Grossman, a resident who submitted his name for nomination but was not considered by the board. Grossman said he believed he deserved consideration because he earned more than 240 votes at the community’s annual election in April.
