POCA Notes

For those that missed Monday's meeting of the Piney Orchard Community Association, here are a few more items that came up in discussion.

Piney Orchard remains on track to transition to a new property management company on Aug. 1. The POCA board said and residents should receive an information packet regarding possible benefits offered by the new company, Community Management Corporation.  

On Monday, the Piney Orchard Community Association Board of Directors held it's monthly meeting. Odenton Patch has already reported on several issues that came up in discussion.

The board supported a plan for a on Piney Orchard Parkway, and announced the end of the. It also heard from a pair of Odenton students looking to in Kenya.

Here are a few other items that the board discussed on Monday:

POCA board president Jeff Andrade informed those in attendance of a public meeting regarding a near the end of Capitol Raceway Road. Andrade said he plans to review the application for the landfill when it is available to the public on Aug. 2, and encouraged residents to attend the public meeting on Aug. 18 at Crofton Elementary School.

Piney Orchard board members recently completed a request for proposals for companies interested in bidding for the community’s landscaping and snow removal contract. The RFP should be available on the Piney Orchard website soon, and companies have until Aug. 31 to respond to the RFP and submit a bid. The contract would cover all landscape work and maintenance in Piney Orchard common areas.
