Police Release Name of Man Found Dead in Car Near Odenton
The Gaithersburg man died of trauma to his upper body, but was not involved in a car crash, Anne Arundel County Police say.

Authorities say the homicide victim found dead inside a vehicle Monday morning in Millersville is Seydou Alassane Ba, 46, of the 400 block of Christopher Avenue in Gaithersburg.
Anne Arundel County Police received a 911 call about 6:46 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, to report an injured person inside a vehicle in the 8300 block of Williamstowne Drive near Old Mill Road in Millersville near Odenton. The caller believed Ba had been in a car accident.
When police officers and emergency medical workers arrived on the scene, they found Ba in the driver’s seat of the vehicle suffering from trauma to the upper body.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, however the vehicle was not involved in an accident, police say.
Detectives are conducting interviews with several witnesses. The Anne Arundel County Recruit Class responded to the area to help search for evidence.

An autopsy will be done Tuesday, Nov. 18, by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the exact manner and cause of Ba’s death.
