Just like with anything in life, when someone has a problem or needs help they need someone to reach their hand out to help them. They don't need someone to reach out and push them down or to ignore them.
We as residents of Maryland need to learn to reach our hand out and help the victims of therapist abuse. We need to fight for what is right and it is right to make it a law that any professional including psychotherapists can not have sexual relations with their clients. It is sickening to believe that some do and it is even more sick to know that they make you feel it is all your fault. The people that are suppose to help us, hurts us more then anyone else. And, Maryland thinks it is ok to allow them to do this. The Board of Professional Counselors thinks it is ok for them to do it. As a matter of fact the board will fine them and put money in their pocket-wow that really helps the victims. It really helps the laws.
Reach out your hand and help Lynette's Law and NAAEP make this a law. Stop therapy abuse.
