Readers' Choice Winner: Odenton Florists

With Mother's Day coming up, it helps to know where to pick up that nice bouquet that will put a smile on mom's face.

There are several popular independent florists in the area, but local readers were especially vocal in their support of on Annapolis Road.

The family-owned shop won this week's Readers' Choice contest, based on .

Many customers said they've been getting flowers from owner Sadie Dawson for years. 

"Flowers are always fresh and last much longer than other places I know," wrote Patch user Tom Flanagan. "Always friendly and speedy service. [I] recommend it without reservation."

The store has been around for more than 20 years, and is well known for its service and its sign out front, which promotes other local businesses or announces accomplishments from residents. The sign was the subject of a 2005 profile in the Baltimore Sun.

Odenton Florists has a website with a variety of arrangements for sale through Teleflora. The store delivers to most of west Anne Arundel County.
