Seniors Can Get Farmers Market Coupons

Older residents of Odenton can pick up coupons for use at farmers markets in the county next month at the

The county will be distributing coupons at the headquarters of the Department of Aging and Disabilities, as well as at seven senior centers.

Seniors can pick up their coupons on July 9 at the O’Malley Senior Activity Center between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Coupons are for anyone older than 60 who lives in the county and meets certain income guidelines.

The goal of the coupon program is to offer more fresh and local products to seniors and to expand the use of farmers markets and roadside stands.

Here’s the schedule of coupon distribution for the remaining sites in the county:

• July 10, Brooklyn Park Senior Center, 202 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park.

• July 11, Pasadena Senior Center, 4103 Mountain Rd., Pasadena.

•  July 16, Bay Forest Nutrition Site, 930 Bay Forest Ct., Annapolis.

• July 17, South County Senior Center, 27 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater.

• July 18, Arnold Senior Center, 44 Church Rd., Arnold.

• July 20, College Parkway Place, 570 Bellerive Dr., Annapolis; and West River Nutrition Site, 101 Owensville Rd., West River.

• July 23, Glen Square Senior Building, 102 N. Crain Highway, Glen Burnie, and Annapolis Senior Center, 119 S. Villa Ave., Annapolis.

• July 24, Victoria Park, 87 Stewart Dr., Edgewater; and Claiborne Nutrition Site, 130 Hearne Road, Annapolis.

• July 27, Pascal Senior Center, 125 Dorsey Rd., Glen Burnie.
