Severn Car Search Turns Up Marijuana For Sale: Police

Men from Glen Burnie and Odenton were arrested after police found drugs worth $1,300 in their car, authorities said.

SEVERN, MD — Men from Odenton and Glen Burnie were charged with various drug possession crimes after Anne Arundel County Police officers spotted a handgun in their vehicle when police walked up to the car. Police in an anti-drugs unit saw the men parked in a vehicle in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in Severn Tuesday night.

As an officer approached the vehicle, he reportedly saw the driver pull a handgun from his jacket and place it under his leg. A search of the vehicle uncovered a ROHM .22 caliber RG14 revolver loaded with four rounds of ammunition, a digital scale and 67 grams of marijuana packaged for distribution, with an estimated street value of $1,340.

Both men were arrested for drug possession and distribution.

Isaac Boddie III, 38, of the 100 block of Inglewood Drive in Glen Burnie, was charged with:

  • CDS possession with intent to distribute
  • CDS: Possession of marijuana 10gm+
  • CDS: Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Marijuana paraphernalia possession
  • Handgun on a person
  • Handgun in a vehicle
  • Firearm in a drug-trafficking crime
  • CDS: Distribution with a firearm

Andre Edwards, 46, of the 2600 block of Rainy Spring Court in Odenton, was charged with:
