Severn Couple Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

A Severn couple was robbed at gunpoint as they got out of their car Tuesday night, police say.

SEVERN, MD — A Severn couple was robbed Tuesday night at gunpoint as they got out of their vehicle, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The hold-up happened about 10:40 p.m. in the 7600 block of Coldbrooke Road in Severn.

A man approached the couple as they were leaving their vehicle, showed a handgun and demanded property from one of the victims, police say. The victim complied with the robber’s demands and the suspect fled from the area in a small SUV or pickup truck. Officers searched the area with a police K-9 unit, but did not find the suspect.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as a man about 6’0”, slim build, and wearing dark clothing.
