Authorities say a 911 caller, identified as Donald John Bucalo of the 7700 block Twin Oaks Road, told emergency dispatchers that he had shot his daughter.

When officers arrived, Bucalo, 62, was sitting on the front porch. Inside the house, police found a woman identified as Michelle Lyn Bucalo, 32, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Fire personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead.

Donald Bucalo was taken into custody without incident. Homicide detectives collected evidence from the shooting scene, and talked to witnesses in the neighborhood. Investigators say the shooting was a targeted attack, and not a random act of violence.
