Severn Girl Punches Officer 3 Times: Police
A 14-year-old Severn girl at the scene of an assault reportedly punched an officer who asked her to calm down, authorities said.

SEVERN, MD — A Severn girl faces a juvenile assault charge after she allegedly she punched an Anne Arundel County Police officer investigating her role in a fight.
Police were called to the 1100 block of Reece Road in Severn about 7:30 p.m. Friday to investigate a report that a juvenile was assaulted. While police were talking with witnesses, a 14-year-old Severn girl approached an officer and allegedly began yelling and acting disorderly.
Officers were told the girl was present during the original assault and asked her several times to calm down. Due to what police describe as her continued erratic behavior, an officer tried to arrest the girl for disorderly conduct, when she allegedly punched the officer three times. He was able to block the punches with his forearm.

The girl was arrested and charged on juvenile citation with assault.
