Severn Royal Farms Torn Down, Will Be Replaced

Less than a month ago, I was inside the store in Severn to buy a ticket for the record Mega Millions lottery. (I didn't win.)

Now, the store is gone and we see nothing but rubble at the corner of Telegraph Road and Donaldson Avenue.

Oh, the memories we had.

The good news is that the Royal Farms will be replaced by a brand-new store, complete with gas pumps, car wash and other amenities similar to the one on Annapolis Road in Odenton and the one on Maryland Route 3 in Crofton.

There is no official word on when the new store will be completed and open; the Royal Farms website simply says it's "coming soon." But, a large swath of land has been cleared out to the north of the store and construction crews are on site.
