Severn Shooting Hospitalizes Man, Police Seek Edgewater Suspect

The Anne Arundel County Police Department has an arrest warrant for the suspect. Police are asking for the public's help finding him.

SEVERN, MD — A shooting in Severn sent a man to the hospital Wednesday evening, police say. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Jamestown Drive in Severn.

Police found the male victim laying on the floor of a home, suffering from wounds to his upper body. The suspect shot the man after they got into a fight outside. The suspect fled the scene.

Anne Arundel County police gave the victim first aid until medics took him to an unnamed hospital. He is expected to live.

After a preliminary investigation, police identified 32-year-old Edgewater man Deontray Poole as the suspect. Police got an arrest warrant for Poole, who is still at-large. They ask anybody who knows his whereabouts to call 911 or (410) 222-8610.

Detectives are still investigating the shooting. They ask anybody with information to call the Anne Arundel County Police Department at (410) 222-6165. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling (410) 222-4700.
