SEVERN, MD — A 17-year-old from Severn has been arrested and charged as an adult on 22 offenses, including two counts of attempted second-degree murder, for allegedly firing a gun at a Pasadena park.
On Sept. 8 at about 4:10 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police officers were called to 8100 Tower Bridge Drive in Pasadena for a report of shots fired. The caller said he thought the noise had come from fireworks, so he walked toward the basketball court at the nearby park. There, several youths told the man that an unknown male had fired one shot into the ground, then fled the scene.
Officers reportedly found the suspect's vehicle and two occupants the next day. A search of the vehicle turned up 28 grams of marijuana and a loaded 9 mm Taurus handgun.
