Severn Walmart Purse-Snatcher Caught On Video: Police

SEVERN, MD — Anne Arundel County Police have released security camera video of a man suspected of snatching an elderly woman's purse at the Severn Walmart store. The robbery happened about 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the store, 407 George Clauss Boulevard.

The victim told officers that the suspect approached her, grabbed her purse from her arm and fled. Officers searched the area with help from the K9 unit but were unable to locate the suspect. The woman suffered bruising to her arm as a result of the robbery.

Police describe the suspect as a black man about 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, and a baseball hat.
