The building previously had a red brick façade when it housed a motorcycle business and then a chapel. The new tenant painted that masonry with a whitewash and added matching white tile to the cashier's counter.

The eatery also has a window that resembles a drive-through lane.
This will be the first Shipley Do-Nuts in Maryland and the mid-Atlantic.
Lawrence Shipley Sr. crafted his original donut recipe in 1936 and sold them for 5¢ per dozen on the wholesale market. The founder then opened the first Shipley Do-Nuts in Houston in the mid-1940s.
The Texas company now has more than 300 locations, most of which are in the American South.
The Odenton eatery will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
