LINTHICUM, MD — A recent shooting outside a Linthicum smoke shop hospitalized one victim, county police announced. Officers said they eventually arrested the 17-year-old suspect from Baltimore. The unidentified suspect was charged as an adult
Authorities said the shooting happened Monday around 11:30 a.m. at the Tobacco House, located at 829 Nursery Road.
Police said multiple people got into a fight in the parking lot, and one person fired a handgun. The crowd then drove away and fled on foot.

Officers entered the area and said they spotted the suspect, who started to run.
Authorities used K-9s to find and detain the suspect. Witnesses then identified the suspect as the person with the gun, police said.

Officers said they later learned that the victim took themselves to an unidentified hospital with gunshot wounds.
