Shots Fired In Severn, Police Find Damaged Cars And Homes: Report

A victim was shot at in Severn, police said. Officers noted that they found damaged vehicles and homes near the crime scene.

SEVERN, MD — Police said a victim was shot at multiples times in Severn on July 12. Officers noted that they heard word of shots fired around 12:36 p.m. in the 1800 block of Dove Court.

Authorities explained that they discovered a parked vehicle with bullet holes in the passenger's door and window. Officials added that they also spotted:

  • Two other parked vehicles and three homes that were damaged
  • A bag of marijuana
  • A handgun

Police indicated that they searched the area but could not find the unknown suspect, who fled on foot. The uninjured victim ran inside a home after the shooting, an incident report informed.

Officers think this was a targeted, not random, act of violence.
