Small Plane Veers Off Tipton Airport Runway Near Fort Meade
A small plane apparently veered off a runway at Tipton Airport outside Fort Mead on Monday morning, a report says.
TIPTON, MD — Video from a TV station show a small airplane veered off the runway at Tipton Airport near Fort Meade. WJLA had footage of the incident on Monday.
There has been no confirmation of the mishap from Anne Arundel County, state police or airport authorities so far.
Tipton, a former Army airfield, is located just south of Fort George G. Meade in Odenton, and is bordered by the Patuxent National Wildlife Refuge.
