The rain didn't stop Arundel's boys varsity soccer team from beating Northeast 2-0 in Thursday's game at Carroll Field.
Defender Bryan Lenz, a senior, scored early in the first half on a corner kick assist by sophomore Matt Mackenzie to put the first goal on the board for Arundel.
Later in the half, senior Moses Ballard scored on a penalty kick after a Northeast player fouled him inside the 18-yard box.
The team’s next game is scheduled for 5 p.m. Oct. 14 at Severna Park High School.
