Plane Makes Emergency Landing At BWI Airport After Windshield Crack: Report
A plane made an emergency landing at BWI Airport. Pilots found a windshield crack, a report said. The flight was heading from DC to Tampa.
LINTHICUM, MD — A plane made an emergency landing recently at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, a report said.
Anne Arundel First Alert reported the news Friday at 8:24 p.m., saying the pilots discovered a windshield crack. The plane, which was carrying 142 people, landed safely at 8:43 p.m.
The Southwest Airlines flight left Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport about an hour before the emergency. Anne Arundel First Alert said that the plane was heading to Tampa International Airport, but pilots diverted it to Baltimore.

BWI Airport spokesperson Jonathan Dean confirmed to Patch that the plane landed safely and taxied to the gate as planned.
Patch requested more information from Southwest, but the airline has not yet responded. We will update this story if we hear back.
