Teresa Milio Birge Resigns County School Board Seat
Teresa Milio Birge of Odenton has resigned her seat on the Anne Arundel County School Board, effective immediately.

ODENTON, MD — Citing the need for more flexibility as she pursues employment opportunities, Teresa Milio Birge of Odenton on Sunday announced her resignation from the Board of Education of Anne Arundel County. The move is effective immediately.
Birge has represented Legislative District 32 on the Board of Education since 2008, when she was appointed to a five-year term. She was reappointed in 2013 and is now serving a term that ends on December 2, 2018, according to a news release.
“Serving as a member of the Anne Arundel School Board representing District 32 since July of 2008 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” Birge wrote in her resignation letter to Board President Julie Hummer. “Having the opportunity to serve the students and families of Anne Arundel County for over nine years has been truly humbling.” (See the full letter below.)
