Therapy Abuse

Therapist abuse is real and is happening all over the world. It is time that we as the public learn what this is and what the victims go through in their lives.

Think of this, you have been sexually molested, raped, abused, and/or all of them when you were younger. Most of the time when this happens you grow up with several different mental disorders and/or no self respect and thinking that nobody loves or wants you. You are now an adult and are seeking help from the people that have taken an oath to help you, a therapist. After, talking to them, them gaining your trust and they feeling they are finally loved by someone-they take advantage of you. The start of what later comes out to be them having sex with you and telling you that they are the only ones that care for you.

This is real and this is what happens to many, the problem is that they have no where to turn, the police treat you like you have done something wrong, the professionals say you were a part of it, the boards of these prediators don't care. There are no laws in Maryland to help these victims out. Therapists don't have to go through background checks but coaches do to coach a softball team. They don't have anyone to answer to and most times when the board finally does investigate all the therapist has to do is surrender their license and go on with their lives. In some cases they start up another business without license and keep on treating the public.

One, ladies story is all over the web and you can check it out here http://www.lynetteslaw4maryland.com/ Look it over and help us to get the word out about what Maryland is doing or not doing about this epidemic.

Every day, more and more people are being sexually abused by their therapists. If you check the disciplinary matters page for the Maryland Board of Professional Therapist and Counselors website, you will see that month after month, year after year therapists are being temporarily suspended for sexually abusing their clients. Therapist abuse needs to be a crime!
