Last week was a busy one. Patch covered the news from the meeting, spent some time over at Fort Meade, and had a good breakfast on Friday.
Here were the five most interesting stories of the week.
—Residents along North Patuxent Avenue have been anxiously waiting to hear what The Hogan Cos. has in mind for a plot of land just to the west of the MARC Station. On Tuesday night, the company said it has backed off plans for four-story townhomes on the property and will instead consider three-story buildings, and not as many of them. It will also keep intact two historic buildings on the site.

—Fort Meade was one of the few places in the United States where reporters could view the arraignment of Majid Khan, who is accused of conspiring with al-Qaida. Khan, a former Baltimore-area resident, pleaded guilty in exchange for his cooperation.
