Top Five Stories: History, Target and Electricity

If you missed any big news last week in Odenton or Severn, this should get you caught up.

- A local couple has acqured the historic Jones House in Odenton and has moved it to a new location on Odenton Road. Residents around the area marveled at the sight of the house being lifted from the ground last week.

- I was standing in line at and waiting to order a Big Mac on Thursday when the power went out. Not only did I miss out on a good lunch, but my house was without electricity for most of the afternoon. Some people blamed the recent solar flares. But it may have been just a downed tree.

- Physical education classes at got a lot more interesting this winter, as the school introduced lessons in dance. Some students even got to participate in the halftime show at a UMBC basketball game.

- The long-awaited store in the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre had a soft opening last week, and officially opened for customers Sunday. Stay tuned for updates on when the other stores in that center (Wegman's, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc.) will open.
