Video: More Demolition at Nevamar

Odenton Patch got chance to see some big equipment at work tearing down buildings at the north side of the old Nevamar facility.

Last week, we showed you some at the former Nevamar facilty on Route 170. This time, we offer some great video of walls coming down and heavy equipment in action.

What you see here are buildings left on the north side of the site, known as the old Formica plant. Berg Demolition is the contractor doing the knocking down of things. The company plans to recycle most of the material left.

Developer StonebridgeCarras is heading up a big redevelopment plan for the area. The first phase will be built by Bozzuto Group, and will consist of 369 apartments in a project known as Flats170 at Academy Yard. The area being demolished now, on the north side of the site, is where the apartments will go.
