Village at Odenton Station Accepting Apartment Leases
The first phase of 235 apartments near the MARC station could be ready for move-in by May.
One of the highest profile developments in the is now accepting applications for new residents.
The Village at Odenton Station is currently pre-leasing apartments, and officials said they hope to have people moving into the first phase of units in May. The project’s property manager has been on site since last week to speak with prospective new residents and take calls.
There will be 235 apartment units available.

The project, which is located to the west of the MARC station near Town Center Boulevard and Duckens Street, will also include 57,000 square feet of street-level retail. The Dolben Company, which owns apartments in Piney Orchard and in six states up and down the East Coast, is the lead developer.
“We think this will appeal to a lot of people who work in the cities, but want an easy way to commute,” said property manger Jilleien Franquelli.

She said the apartments should be attractive to those who don’t need to drive, and to those looking for an urban-type setting outside Washington and Baltimore.
The apartments will feature 12 different floor plans, all featuring one or two bedrooms. The one-bedroom apartments range in size from 757 square feet to 889 square feet and will rent for $1,500 to $1,625 per month. The two-bedroom units will range in size from 1,142 square feet to 1,369 square feet and will rent for $1,800 to $1,875 per month.
There are also three larger two-bedroom units located in a unique “rounded-corner” portion of the complex facing Town Center Boulevard. Those units will be 1,400 square-feet in size and rent for between $2,300 and $2,400.
Currently, Dolben is accepting 12-month leases.
The company said it has letters of intent from several potential retail partners, which it declined to name. Franquelli said residents can expect a restaurant and possible coffee shop, along with some service-oriented retail such as doctors and dentists offices. There may also be an opportunity for programming, such as concerts or other events, in the retail plaza, Franquelli said.
“The retail is going to add a lot of flavor to the community,” she said.
Franquelli acknowledged some competition with new apartment developments in Odenton. The Haven at Odenton Gateway, located near the roundabout on Annapolis Road, , and could have people move in next month. Developers have also pitched plans for , and possibly on a parcel
But Franquelli said the company believes there is enough demand to go around, due to the expansion at Fort Meade and the surrounding area, and that all projects will have something unique to offer.
“It’s clear there’s a lot of rejuvenation in the area, and it’s great to be a part of that,” Franquelli said.
