Village at Odenton Station to Host Farmers Markets
The apartment and retail complex will partner with Bear's Honeypot on three farmers markets in August. The first will take place on Aug. 16.

The Village at Odenton Station will partner with new retailer Bear's Honeypot on three farmers markets in August.
The markets will take place in front of the retail space at the Village on Thursday afternoons beginning next week.
"We have this space, so we thought 'why not do something for Odenton'?" said Jillein Franquelli, the property manager at the Village at Odenton Station.

The markets will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Aug. 16, 23 and 30. Sellers will include producers of fruit and vegetables, and other items including breads, jams an sauces. If the markets are a success, they could continue into the fall, organizers said.
Bear's Honeypot has organized farmers markets with local producers in the area for years, and recently opened a retail store in Odenton. Company owner Barret Lang said he'd eventually like to explore a weekend farmers market in town.

The apartments at the Village at Odenton Station are about 30 percent leased by new residents. The retail space remains unoccupied, but Franquelli said leases have been signed by a dentist and dry cleaner. Negotiations for additional leases are ongoing.
