Walgreens Construction Underway

Now that the Rieve's Deli has been moved aside, construction of the Walgreens on Piney Orchard Parkway has started in earnest.

It's now possible to see the frame of the building and steel going up, and there is heavy construction equipment, including cement mixers, on site.

Walgreens said the store should be open by the end of the summer.

Patch previously reported that the Rieve's Deli building was to the west of the Walgreens site. That, too, will re-open later this year.
