We need your voice. Why do they have so much power?

We are still fighting to get Lynette's Law house bill 33 and house bill 841 voted on.  We only have a couple days left to the end of the session and have found out that the committee chairman is holding the bill in his desk drawer.

Why would they have that much power to do that?  Why wouldn't they let it go to vote?  How can it be that one person can decide on bills on their own?  Is this not America?  Do we not have the right for these to be voted on?

These questions and more are being asked as we sit around waiting for them to allow our bills and probably many more to be voted on.

We were told that they don't think professionals that sexually exploit their clients should go to jail.  Why not?  Is Maryland really going to protect these people?  Are they going to allow them to keep doing what they are doing with no solution to the problem?

It is time for all of us to step up and call them.  Do it today before it is too late.  Don't allow them to make this decision on their own.

Watch this video and then tell me they don't need to do something:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI5A33EQ_Kc&feature=youtu.be&app=desktop

Heather Sinclair has this to say "The bills preventing this are not being voted on in Maryland (HB841&HB33). Today the task force bill that reinforces the recommendations of the 1998 task force will be held in HGO at 1pm (HB1193). We need your support for these bills or what you see in the video will continue to happen.
1) Maryland will continue to allow sex offenders to have licenses to work in mental health.
2) Maryland will continue to allow violent felons to have a license in mental health.
3) Maryland will continue to consider applications for licenses from convicted child molesters.
4) Maryland will continue to allow sexual exploitation of patients.
5) Maryland will continue to allow these offenders to get a slap on the wrist for the sole reason of them being " professionals".
Now is the time to react as these bills are dying.
Call your representatives and tell them you want HB841 and HB33 voted on."

The delegates need to take their personal feelings out of it and vote on protecting the people.  Vote on protecting each and every victim that has gone through this.  There is no reason why you wouldn't vote on this to protect us.

Call 410-841-3488 and let them know you want HB33 passed in order to protect mental health patients from sexual exploitation and abuse! Then contact Lynette's Law and see what else you can do to help! http://www.lynetteslaw4maryland.com/
