Woman Cab Driver Carjacked; No Injuries Reported

The driver for Taz Inc. in Brooklyn was reportedly ordered out of her cab at gunpoint in Glen Burnie.

A woman cab driver was the victim of an armed carjacking Tuesday night, say Anne Arundel County Police, who are searching for two suspects.

The 52-year-old female driver from Taz Inc. in Brooklyn reported that she drove to the 900 block of Washburn Avenue in Brooklyn about 8:45 p.m. to pick up a fare. Two men told the driver to take them

to the area of McGowan Road and Beach Road in Glen Burnie, where the suspects then showed a handgun.

Police say the men ordered the victim to get out of the cab. The driver was left unharmed at the scene and both suspects fled the area in the taxi.

The taxi cab, a 2006 orange Chevrolet Impala, was later found nearby in the area of Southbridge Drive in Glen Burnie.

Police say the suspects are described as two black men in their early 20s, about 5’11” to 6’0” with slim builds, wearing dark-colored clothing.
