Severn Woman Stabbed To Death Had Feared For Her Life: Police
A Severn woman was stabbed to death in her home, police say. She had said in court documents that was she a victim of domestic abuse.

SEVERN, MD — A Severn woman found dead in the basement of her home was stabbed to death, and had previously said in court documents that she feared for her life from her ex-husband, Anne Arundel County Police say. The father of 29-year-old Jasmine Sherel Adams called police just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday after finding her dead in the basement of her residence in the 1800 block of Hawk Court.
Detectives say Adams suffered trauma to her upper body. An autopsy performed Thursday by the medical examiner's office ruled Adams died from numerous sharp force injuries to upper body with the manner of death being homicide. What weapon or object was used in the attack has not been mentioned by police.
Authorities said it appears this was a targeted incident against Adams and not a random act of violence.
