Technical rescue crews were dispatched to a basement in Odenton Wednesday, where someone had reportedly gotten trapped.
ODENTON, MD — A man working at a home in Odenton got trapped in a ditch Wednesday and had to be rescued. The technical rescue crew with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department got the worker out of the 8-by-10-foot trench in the 500 block of Domain Court after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, according to WBAL.
He had been in the process of waterproofing the basement at the location when an air conditioner moved, trapping the worker, the news station reported.
Rescuers dug out the 37-year-old man from dirt that had fallen and partly buried his lower body, according to The Capital, which reported he was taken to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center with injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening.
