12 Vehicle Thefts In Owings Mills, Garrison: Police

Police said that keys were used in many of the recent vehicle thefts in Franklin, Pikesville precincts.

OWINGS MILLS, MD — There have been a dozen vehicles stolen in the Owings Mills and Garrison areas in the last six weeks, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The vehicles were taken near the Owings Mills Mall and in the town of Garrison, police said.

Three vehicles were stolen from two different car dealerships in Garrison, and one vehicle was stolen from a school.

The vehicles stolen in Garrison were taken during the overnight or early morning hours.

Those taken from the mall area were stolen during an "extended time frame," police said in a statement.

Police said the suspect(s) used keys to steal six of the vehicles.

The 12 auto thefts were all reported since Jan. 20, according to the Baltimore County Police Department, which said there had also been one additional attempt. In that case, the ignition was popped but the car had not been taken, according to police.
