27 Families Displaced By Apartment Fire Near Woodlawn: Officials
An apartment fire near Woodlawn damaged five buildings Tuesday, Baltimore County fire officials said.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Firefighters battled a three-alarm apartment blaze near Woodlawn Tuesday, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
Authorities said 27 families were displaced as a result of the blaze.
The fire spread during the midday hours to several attached apartment buildings, officials said.

Crews were called to the unit block of Springridge Court at 11:47 a.m., and fire was showing from the second and third floors when firefighters arrived, according to authorities.
"Five attached buildings were affected as fire spread through an attic space that ran, unobstructed, across all five," the Baltimore County Fire Department said in a statement. "The roof and upper stories burned completely. All 30 units in the complex are uninhabitable as a result of the damage."

About 150 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was knocked after 1:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
