3-Year-Old Randallstown Girl Fatally Hit By SUV: Police

A 3-year-old girl died one day after she was struck by an SUV while crossing a street in Randallstown, Baltimore County Police say.

RANDALLSTOWN, MD — A 3-year-old girl died one day after she was struck by an SUV while crossing a street in Randallstown, Baltimore County Police say. The fatal accident happened just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Liberty Road near Wilmar Avenue.

Authorities say Esther Ogunfuye, of the 3600 block of Old Milford Mill Road, was attempting to cross Liberty Road when she was struck by an SUV which was eastbound on Liberty Road. The driver of the SUV remained at the crash scene, police said.

The girl was taken to a local hospital. On Monday, Ogunfuye was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Baltimore County Police crash team officers are investigating the accident. No charges have been filed and the driver's name has not been released.

Officials have not said if the child was accompanied by an adult as she tried to cross the street.
