34 Thefts From Vehicles Reported, Including Reisterstown Area

Police said that a spate of crimes has hit Reisterstown.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — Vehicle owners should be sure to lock their car doors after a rash of thefts has been reported in two precincts in Baltimore County. Those in the Franklin and Cockeysville areas have been hit by the thefts from vehicles, according to officials.

There have been 34 thefts from vehicles along the Falls Road corridor in the Franklin precinct and in Mays Chapel in the Cockeysville precinct since Sept. 3 that appear to be related, police reported this week.

Money, electronics, house keys, car keys, personal identification and sunglasses were among the items that authorities said were taken when the suspect ransacked vehicles.

Officials said most of the crimes happened overnight, and in most cases the doors were left unlocked.
