4 Events In Owings Mills, Reisterstown Planned For National Night Out
Multiple events in Owings Mills and Reisterstown are planned, with police and fire department presence and in some cases, free pizza.

OWINGS MILLS, MD - Several community associations and neighborhood groups are planning National Night Out gatherings in the Owings Mills area.
Recognized the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is a community-building event celebrated in hundreds of neighborhoods across the country. Many communities hold street parties with local law enforcement, and residents turn on their front porch lights to help reduce crime.
These are the National Night Out happenings in the Franklin precinct, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The New Towne Community Association will host both the police and fire departments and McGruff the crime fighting dog at Central Park. Children's activities and a White Tiger demo are planned. Pizza will be served. At the event, police will address home security, personal security, security surveys, domestic violence and child seat installation. The event is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Central Park, at the corner of New Town Boulevard and Fitch Hill Road.
The Chartley HOA and Country Club Estates Community Association will host McGruff and the fire department plus the mobile command unit. BGE will conduct a demonstration, children's activities are planned and a DJ will be on hand. Officers will meet with residents and cover issues such as home security, personal security, security surveys, domestic violence and child seat installation. The gathering will be at the Chartley Park Shopping Center, 525 Main Street, Reisterstown, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

At the Water Mill Apartments, an event with children's activities, hot dogs and hamburgers is planned. McGruff will be there, in addition to the fire department, a DJ, BGE, Comcast and the mobile command post. Officers will cover topics including domestic violence, home security, security surveys and personal security. The event will be at 14 Enchanted Hills Road from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
The Park Place Citizens on Patrol will update the community about its citizens on patrol program, and there will be a presentation about crime stats and personal safety. The event will be at the south entrance to Park Place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
