OWINGS MILLS, MD — Three individuals were arrested and charged in relation to a first-degree assault investigation involving a young girl.
The Baltimore County Police Department described the arrestees on Tuesday as juveniles. However, WBAL reported there were three girls between the ages of 12 and 14, and that the injured girl was 13.
The charges stem from an incident that took place Monday at a home on Spectator Lane in Owings Mills. Police had arrived at the scene just before 8:30 p.m., later finding a girl unconscious and suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
She was hospitalized and has since been released following treatment.
Police told WBAL that no adults were at the home when the incident took place and that the girl did not live at the residence. Officials said they are searching for at least one more individual tied to the case.
The department is working in step with the Baltimore County Public Schools.
Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact police at (410) 887-1279 or (410) 887-4636.
