BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A monthslong road resurfacing project is scheduled to get underway in Baltimore County this week.

The work will cover 1.2 miles of the northbound and southbound lanes that make up Reisterstown Road.

Weather permitting, the paving project is scheduled to continue through late October and will include patching, milling and resurfacing pavement, along with applying new pavement markings.

Crews are set to work Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., at which time single and double lane closures will be in effect as the project progresses. Drivers are urged to heed road signs and plan for extra time in work zones.

In the event of bad weather, transportation authorities said work would be pushed "to the next possible weeknight."
