Local and county leaders highlighted how the $70.6 million project's solar panels, geothermal systems, and added classroom space will cut operating costs and serve more than 700 students for decades.
• Baltimore Co. Insurance Agent Pleads Guilty In $100K Fraud Scheme (patch.com) — Residents in Owings Mills are learning details of a years-long insurance commission scheme after local agent Gregory A. Maslow pleaded guilty to defrauding companies of about $100,000. State officials say he used others' identities on life insurance applications, and his plea deal includes jail time, probation, restitution, and permanent loss of his insurance license.
• June Virginia Gross Gardner Obituary Oct 3, 2026 - Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation (baldwincremation.com) — An upcoming graveside service will be held at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills for June Virginia Gross Gardner, whose ashes will be interred with her late husband. The longtime nurse, volunteer paramedic, and church musician recently returned to Maryland after years in Florida, and her family is inviting memorial donations to her Lutherville church instead of flowers.
