Armed Robbery At Owings Mills Burger King: Police Blotter

Two armed robberies, several residential burglaries and other crimes were reported this October in Owings Mills and Reisterstown.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A Rite Aid and carryout in Reisterstown were both targeted by armed robbers recently, according to police. In other cases, individuals were robbed or residences burglarized.

Here are the crimes recently reported out of the Franklin precinct, according to the Baltimore County Police Department, which provided the following information. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A residential burglary was reported in the 500 block of Shirley Manor Road. Electronics and jewelry were stolen from the residence, where the front window was open and front door unlocked. The burglary was reported at 9:21 a.m. on Oct. 27.

One person was robbed at Burger King in the 10200 block of Reisterstown Road. Armed with a knife and handgun, the robbers stole cash from the victim, then ran away. The armed robbery occurred at 8:55 a.m. on Oct. 25.

An unlocked apartment was burglarized at 3:55 p.m. on Oct. 23. Jewelry and clothing were stolen from the residence in the 10200 block of Grand Central Avenue.

A handgun was stolen in a residential burglary in the 4000 block of Log Trail Way. The suspect took the handgun from a bedroom closet shelf at 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 22. The suspect got in through a back door that had been left unlocked.

Items were stolen from the kitchen of a home in the 12100 block of Long Lake Drive. The burglar got in through an attached garage door, then took the items and left. The burglary occurred at 1:34 p.m. on Oct. 19.

Three people were seen walking away from the back of a group of townhouses in the 4700 block of Wainwright Circle at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 17. Nothing appeared to be stolen; however, one back window had been broken. Police said the trio got into a burgundy minivan where two others were inside.

Arlon's Carryout was robbed at gunpoint at 10:18 p.m. on Oct. 16. The suspect went into the restaurant in the 100 block of Chartley Drive appearing to place an order, then pulled out the gun and ordered the clerk to empty the register before the suspect left with the cash.

A business was burglarized while it was closed in the 10900 block of Boulevard Circle. Two people went into the business and took money from the cash register and safe. They did not force their way inside in the burglary, which happened at 12:35 a.m. on Oct. 16.

Two people in a van robbed a woman on Chins Court at Tollgate Road. They took her cell phone at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 11.

An apartment in the 4700 block of River Haven Court was tossed, but nothing was taken. The burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 4:19 p.m. on Oct. 11. The suspect kicked in the apartment door to gain access.

A residence was burglarized on Brookebury Drive at 9 p.m. on Oct. 5. The suspect broke the locks to the master bedroom window, then took items and left through the window. Less than two hours earlier, another crime was reported on the same street. A stranger had set up a hair appointment with the victim, who was assaulted and robbed by multiple people who showed up for the appointment in the unit block of Brookebury Drive at 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 5.

There was an armed robbery at Rite Aid in the 9300 block of Lakeside Boulevard. The store was held up at gunpoint at 10:50 p.m. on Oct. 4.

A residence in the 9400 block of Ashlyn Circle was burglarized at 1 p.m. on Oct. 5. The burglar took items from the home, which had not been locked.

A metal safety bar prevented a would-be burglar from getting into the Verizon store through the back door in the 11800 block of Reisterstown Road. The burglary attempt took place at 4:01 a.m. Oct. 3.

In a burglary attempt, someone whose identity was known climbed the second-story deck in the unit block of Blue Sky Drive and tried the back sliding glass door as well as the back kitchen window at 1:52 a.m. on Oct. 2. The suspect was not successful.

Someone whose identity was known groped someone in the unit block of Phlox Circle, then left. The assault happened at 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.
